Holiday in Milford Sound

After the Milford Track, the next couple of days were spent in our glorious standalone riverside chalet at the Milford Lodge, from the 15th of January to the 17th of January.

The chalet was expensive, being the only accommodation in Milford Sound they can charge what they like but with a river right outside and so very private it was heaven – all tramps should finish of like this!!

So the next couple of days were spent doing nothing but relaxing, reading and more studying. Julianne was a bit sore so it gave her time to recover. On the second night the rain just started bucketing down – good time to be inside!

The only time we left our lovely chalet was to pop across and have these lovely meals. I think I can safely say this was the most relaxing holiday of my life, and I know Julianne liked the fact I was not running around looking at tourist sites like all our other holidays.
